Our Inspiration!

The parents of “Baby Buns” share their amazing journey from infertility though almost a year in neonatal intensive care unit to finally bringing their son home.

Dana and Arkell suffered through 17 years of infertility but finally got pregnant in 2015. Their touching birth announcement went viral and was viewed over 10 million times.

Unfortunately, their son Kaleb – affectionately nicknamed “Baby Buns” to his online fans – was born 17 weeks premature and spent a grueling 355 days in the NICU.

The proud parents have been able to share how little Kaleb is progressing now that he is home.

“Kaleb is doing wonderful. He has a tracheostomy and he also has a G-tube, but developmentally, he has no delays right now. We are truly grateful for that".

When their son finally came home after so long in the hospital, they made sure he did it in style.

“We actually planned a limousine ride, we felt he deserved that,” Dana says, explaining it was difficult for her to imagine her son ever coming home as they were told numerous times that he would not make it. “For the first time for the wind to hit against his face, he’d never been outside before, he had never seen the sunshine before, so it was just an amazing feeling to walk outside of those doors with our son in our hands,”

This event is what we want for every family and we want to provide support along the way.
